COTABATO CITY/14 Dec 2024 — Bangsamoro Ministry of Health Minister Dr. Kadil Jojo M. Sinolinding Jr., and his team were honored for their pioneering work in faith inspired health innovation at the “Doctors in Dawah” event held on December 14, 2024 in Makati City hosted by the Islamic Medical Association of the Philippines (IMAN Phil).

The ministry was recognized for the Ibadah-Friendly Health Facility (IFHF) Program that received the “2024 Outstanding Muslim Physician Organization Award” for their innovative approach to integrating Islamic principles into hospital care delivery.

Similarly, Dr. Sinolinding received the prestigious “IMAN Presidential Award” for his leadership and dedication in advancing various culturally sensitive health programs that are compliant not only to the Universal Health care but to the sensitivity to culture, religious practice, and acceptable traditions.

“This recognition is not just for me but for the entire team and the community we serve,” Dr. Sinolinding said in his acceptance speech. “Our work in BARMM reflects a broader vision for a healthcare system that respects diversity while delivering excellence in aspects of service delivery.”

Dr. Alinader Minalang, the Provincial Health Officer II of IPHO Lanao del Sur, joined Dr. Sinolinding and the IFHF team in receiving the awards. His effort as President of Lanao Del Sur Medical Society made a tremendous contribution in the implementation of various health related programs in the entire province. With his leadership, Lanao exemplified excellence with their collective effort that have set a benchmark for incorporating religious and cultural considerations into medical practices, earning a widespread acclaim.

The convention, organized by the Islamic Medical Association of the Philippines (IMAN), also provided a platform for dialogue on how faith-based principles can enhance successes in the primary healthcare setting. The success of the IFHF Program in BARMM aims to inspire efforts to establish a more compassionate, moral, and culturally sensitive hospital healthcare system in the Philippines.###
