LOOK: The Ministry of Health (MOH), in partnership with the Inter-Cabinet Cluster Committee Mechanism on Normalization (ICCMN), successfully conducted a two-day medical mission in Datu Odin Sinsuat and Datu Hoffer, Maguindanao Del Sur, on August 28-29, 2024.

The joint medical caravan provided essential healthcare services to around 1,250 residents, which significantly addressed a wide range of health needs and contributed to the MOH’s overarching goal of improving healthcare access in underserved areas.

Services offered during the mission included circumcisions (Tuli), dental check-ups, minor surgeries, and the distribution of free medicines. The mission also prioritized improving the mobility of individuals with disabilities by providing wheelchairs and canes.

The residents of these municipalities expressed deep gratitude for the free services they received, and recognized the immense value of accessing essential medicines and healthcare without the burden of travel expenses or time away from their daily lives.
